What is a PAT Test
PAT Testing is the term used to describe the testing of a portable electrical appliance i.e. office equipment, movable equipment, some defects are immediately obvious with just a visual inspection but most are only found by doing a test using our own specialist equipment.
Testing should only be carried out by a competent tester (preferably City & Guilds certified) who will compile a checklist which is a useful part of any electrical safety regime, this testing will be required at different intervals depending on the type of environment which the equipment is used in.
